I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. I kindly ask for the following year-by-year statistical and policy-related data for schools within your local authority. Please note that I do not require any personal or identifiable data.

1. Teacher Retention and Attrition Rates (2014 to 2024)
Aggregated data for each year, broken down by:
School type (mainstream, SEND, and SEMH settings) Retention/attrition rates for teachers leaving within 1, 3, and 5 years of service Teachers leaving before reaching retirement age
School workforce data, includes files on retention and attrition rates

Aggregated data for each year, broken down by:
Students with an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) Students receiving SEN support but without an EHCP
The DfE use the January census, has a breakdown by SEN provision and school type

Any policies, strategies, or initiatives your local authority has implemented to support:
Teacher retention
Staff well-being and workload management in schools
There hasn’t been any specific policies, strategies or initiatives implemented by the council to support teacher retention or wellbeing.
We do signpost schools to all relevant guidance and options they can access, but it is for the schools to decide what is implemented.
