I would like to request the following data:

1. How many Support Exempt Accommodation providers there are in your authority area, for each of the past 3 calendar years.
We have had currently 14 providers recorded in this last financial year, starting 06.04.2020. We are not able to provide information in regards to the previous years as this information was not recorded.

2. How many residents currently live in Support Exempt Accommodation, for each of the past 3 calendar years.
61 people currently live in supported and exempt accommodation as of 17.02.2019.

3. What is the total enhanced housing benefit paid to the Support Exempt Accommodation sector in each of the past 3 calendar years.
The total Housing Benefit paid for exempt accommodation, as recorded 17.02.2021 was £683,572.10 from 06.04.2020. This information has not been recorded for previous years.

4. How many claims have been approved for enhanced housing benefit for those who live in Supported Enhanced Accommodation in each of the past 3 calendar years.
It is believed the accommodation reference in this question is actually what is called ‘specified accommodation’ in current Housing benefit Regulations. This classification of accommodation does also include supported and exempt accommodation as a sub category. However, as the previous answer gives the Housing Benefit paid out to Supported and Exempt accommodation, the answer to this question is the amount of Housing Benefit being paid out to the remaining types of specified accommodation claims. The amount paid was, £633,361.89 as of 23.02.2021 from 06.04.2020. This figure has not been recorded for previous years.
