I am writing to enquire about data of Suitable Alternative Natural Greenspace (SANG) within your council.
1. We would like to include SANG within your council for producing an Environmental Management Plan. Such data does not seem to be publicly available on your website/online maps. Could you please advise if the data are available in any form and if we require permission to use the data for commercial purposes? Any form of spatial files such as shapefiles, GeoPackage, GeoJSON etc will work for us.
Attached is a SHP file GIS extract of the SANG boundaries in Wokingham. I’ve included in the attribute table a status field which identifies which ones are open, which approved at planning but not yet open, and which are being considered currently in planning applications. Whilst those currently being considered in planning applications are not yet officially SANG it may be that they are relevant to the timescales that Thames Water are working to, so those features should be considered informative rather than definitive.
We have been advised it is okay to provide the data under an open government licence
