1. Please send me information on how many applications the council has received to date to host street parties on the Platinum Jubilee bank holiday weekend of 2-5 June 2022 and how many applications have been approved?
Wokingham Borough Council have received 116 applications for street party road closures of which 89 have been approved.

2. Please also state what your reasons were for rejecting any applications and what your application process to host such an event is.
Reasons for refusing applications include the party not being on the road and therefore not needing a closure, a road closure conflicting with another road closure, the party not being part of the adopted highway i.e. on adjacent green space, the road closure being on a major route and/or needing a significant diversion route and the road applied for not being in the Wokingham Borough Council area.

The application period ended on the 15th May and the application process was a simple application form on the Wokingham Borough Council website which was then assessed by the Streetworks Team.
