I would like to make a Freedom of Information Request about per pupil spend on independent SEND provision in Wokingham.

1. I would be most grateful if you could provide a database of anonymised pupils who have an EHCP and have currently been placed by Wokingham in a school that is categorised by the DfE as an 'Other independent special school'. For each pupil please provide the name and URN of the school at which they are placed, the primary need listed on their EHCP, their age, and the annual cost of their provision at the named school. Where possible, please provide a breakdown of the cost of their provision into e.g. core provision, therapeutic interventions, etc.

If providing the above data in the requested format is deemed to be impossible, please do suggest any adaptations to my request that would enable you to share the data.

If you do not think that you can share the data requested above in any form, please could you consider the following alternative request. Instead of per pupil data, please could you provide a list of all the 'Other independent special schools' at which Wokingham currently has placements, and for each school please list the total number of current placements and then a breakdown of the total placements number according to the annual cost of the placement. This breakdown could be into buckets, for example, 'School X, 7 placements in total, Bucket 1: 0 placements cost £40-45k, Bucket 2: 3 placements cost £45-50k, Bucket 3: 1 placement costs £50-55k, Bucket 4: 3 placements cost £55-60k, etc.' If you can, please also provide insight into the proportion, on average, of the costs at each school that would be classed as e.g. core provision, therapeutic interventions, etc.
