I understand the council received £92.3m from developers in 2021/2022.
1. Please can you inform me how much and on what projects did residents in Spencers Wood benefit from this as I assume given the considerable amount of development in the village there was a significant contribution from the developers of houses in Spencers wood!
Clarification: I have seen significant development over the last 5-6 years. While I understand the need for more housing what I don’t understand is the lack of infrastructure changes such as the improvement of roads for example Hyde End road which is subjected to significant amount of heavy traffic including large lorries moving material which is having a detrimental effect on the road surface and caused significant safety issues with the width of the road from Dobbies Garden centre to Shinfield meadows entrance.
I am please to see that there has been new SANG's and footpath development but allowing the traffic to use roads such as Hyde end and Ryeish lane to access the new housing developments seems short sighted and dangerous.
So, the question remains not so much about individual residents of Spencers Wood but how the community of Spencers Wood, Shinfield and Three Mile cross will see their environment benefit from investment made by developers with improvements to roads etc?
