I am writing to you in relation to our general concern regarding teacher wellbeing. I would like to put in an FOI request with relation to the following questions:

1. What funding is Wokingham Council designating towards the wellbeing of teachers and schooling staff in your local area?
None – the DSG is devolved to schools and each school determines how to use their funds, including for employee wellbeing

2. If possible, could you please send me a relevant name/email/contact number of someone in charge of mental health within schools in your local area?
The HT and GB within each school is responsible for MH in their establishment. Signposting to useful resources is done by WBC to schools.

3. What funding is being designated to schools, specifically for student wellbeing in your local area?
As above – the DSG is devolved to schools and each school determines how to use their funds, including for student wellbeing

4. What is the number of schools/teachers that Wokingham Council provides funding for?
WBC does not provide funding for schools. Schools are funded by the DSG, which is devolved out from WBC to the schools in the Borough. There are currently 32 maintained schools who receive their government funding this way.
