1. I would like to request, under the freedom of information act, the number of full-time equivalent school attendance staff employed by your council as of July in each of the years from 2011 to 2021.
We don’t have specific roles just focusing on school attendance in isolation:
July 2016: 6.30
July 2017: 4.62
July 2018: 4.48
July 2019: 4.38
July 2020: 5.63
July 2021: 7.22
Included in the count are staff with the following job titles:
• Education Welfare Officer
• Head of School Improvement
• Principal Education Welfare Officer
• School Improvement Officer
• Senior Education Welfare Officer
Excludes vacant positions
We only keep employee data for reporting for 7 years, so I have only been able to go back to 2016.
