1170 penalty notices were issued in the 2024/25 academic year

2. The total amount of funds these fines have generated for academic year 2024/2025.
As of 15/09/2025, £86,580 has been collected in relation to these penalty notices. A few penalty notices are overdue payment or subject to a payment plan, so further funds may be received.

3. The increase/decrease of fines issued compared to the last full academic year (2023/2024).
1440 penalty notices were issued in the 2023/24 academic year, meaning there was a decrease of 270 from 2023/24 to 2024/25

4. A breakdown of how many were issued to parents of children on the SEND register.
We do not record this data so a manual search would be needed to complete the request which would exceed 18 hours. (Section 12)

5. How many prosecutions were brought against parents for 2024/2025 for school attendance.
As of 15/09/2025, there has been 11 prosecutions in relation to 2024/25 school attendance

6. How many of those prosecutions were for children on the SEND register.
None

7. The total amount of funds generated from prosecutions in the full academic year (2024/2025).
As of 15/09/2025, £3062 has been generated from these prosecutions, including fines, costs and victim surcharges
