I am writing to make an open government request for all the information to which I am entitled under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA) and/or Environmental Information Regulations 2004 (EIR).

HSE (Health & Safety Executive) The role of a local authority Safety Advisory Group (SAG) - HSE guidance states: "SAGs provide a forum for discussing and advising on public safety at an event" and that these SAGs are usually co-ordinated by a Local Authority (LA) and made up of representatives from the LA, emergency services, other relevant bodies and the event organiser. They may be event or location specific but otherwise tend to be based on LA boundaries."

1. Please provide a copy of the SAG Terms of Reference relative to your respective Local Authority jurisdiction.

2. A copy of Terms of Reference relative to SAGs created relative to Joint Local authority SAGs, ie SAGs whereby the membership includes more than one Local Authority representative.

3. A copy of the latest version of Event Safety Guidance for Event Organisers. Safety Advisory Group guidance document.pdf

4. The creation date and/or version number of the latest version of the Event Safety Guidance.

5. Appendix 7, item 2d as detailed in the following document Safety Advisory Group guidance document.pdf provides guidance relative to Specific sites of interest (extract below). Please provide correspondence relative to this document detailing whether the SAG committee and/or members of the Local Authority explored the relevance of including a section encouraging the Event Organisers to engage directly with those citizens living within AWE DEPZ (Detailed Emergency Planning Zones), in advance of an event, when in the knowledge of the foreseeability of risks relative to nuclear establishments.

6. Please provide details of correspondence whereby the SAG and or the responsible Local authority have explored the necessity of advising citizens living within the DEPZ that citizens may be required to allow Event organisers and participants to occupy their private homes in order to seek immediate shelter in the unlikely event of a nuclear incident.

7. HSE guidance and ACOPs relative to the public safety of citizens is afforded the relative legal status. Legal status of HSE guidance and ACOPs - HSE
Please provide correspondence relative to these documents detailing whether the SAG committee and/or members of the Local Authority deemed the relevance of including a section pertaining to HSE and ACOP guidance.

8. Please provide details or a link to SAG guidance and SAG recorded meetings.

9. Finally, please provide correspondence pertaining to Large Organised Events taking place within the Detailed Emergency Planning zones relative to Burghfield AWE and Aldermaston AWE, either as proposed or confirmed to proceed, taking place during June and July 2025.
