1. As a freedom of information request, please provide the following information, for each financial year from 2018-19 up to the first two quarters of 2025/2026 (up and including September 2025). If data is not available up until this date please provide the most recent available data and specify the period it applies for:
a - tonnage of household waste recycled under your waste disposal responsibilities
b- tonnage of collected household recycling rejected, split by how it was then processed (such as energy-from-waste / incineration, landfill)
c- tonnage of household material recycled within England
d- tonnage of household material recycled outside of England, split by material type if possible
e - tonnage of household recycling waste exported overseas split by how it will be processed (such as recycled or incinerated)
f - if available, please provide the tonnage of household recycling waste exported overseas split by how it will be processed and destination country.
If figures are not available in tonnage, please instead provide them in another available weight measure. If another weight measure is not available, please provide it in whatever measure is available. If possible, please provide this data as a csv file.
This information is available via the following link https://www.wastedataflow.org/ (Section21). WasteDataFlow is the system used by UK local authorities for municipal waste data reporting. The data entered on this system can be accessed by members of the public via a simple registration process. Registered users can go to the reports section of the WasteDataFlow website and select the Councils and reporting periods that they are interested in. This includes data from 2018-19 onwards. The following reports will be relevant to the questions received:
