Real Time Passenger Information (RTPI) system

1. Who is the supplier of your Real Time Passenger Information (RTPI) system?
R2P are the supplier of our Real Time Passenger Information (RTPI) system.

2. Brighton and Hove City Council have stated:
“Ongoing Display Issues
Over the last 3 months there have been ongoing display issues - dimming, text unreadable in normal daylight, blank screens and signs displaying information in timetable time not real time times.”
“It must be noted that these issues are not isolated to BHCC. It is our understanding that Councils in other parts of the UK are also experiencing the same/similar issues with their RTPI signs.”
a) Have you experienced any similar issues? The majority of the issues with RTI’s in Wokingham Borough are related to power issues, either short term (related to fuses or RCBO’s) or long term (related to issues with the power supply) rather than display issues. However, there are occasionally issues related to mobile signal strength which either leads to displays showing as offline intermittently or switching to scheduled departure times rather than real time information.
b) If you had similar issues, have they been resolved? There are 4 shelters in WBC which have long term power issues where displays will be blank – these are in the process of being resolved.
c) If not resolved please provide a point of contact e.g. email address (council) Not applicable
