Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I’m requesting the following information

1. Please could you provide a list of potholes reported by the public from 2020 – 2022 up to the latest date or the current month you’re working on this request?
The attached Excel file summarises road defects described at the time of reporting as “potholes” and reported by the general public, mostly via the fault reporting feature on the Wokingham Borough website. The reports listed were made in the calendar years 2020 and 2021, and in 2022 from 1 January up to 30 September 2022. Please note that pavement reports are included, as it is not possible to filter these from the data. Please note also that although “pothole” was the description at the time of reporting, the term may have been used to describe a road or pavement defect other than a pothole.

2. Please could you provide a list of filled potholes that took places between 2020 – 2022 up to the latest date of information or the current month you’re working on this request?
The attached Excel file summarises road repairs classified as “potholes” made in the calendar years 2020 and 2021, and in 2022 from 1 January up to 30 September 2022. Please note that the road repairs listed cannot be linked to customer reports of “potholes”, as a significant proportion originate from the findings of Highway Inspectors, not from customer reports.

3. Please could you provide a list of costs allocated to each pothole filled between 2020 – 2022 up to the latest date of information or the current month you’re working on this request?
The attached Excel file of road repairs includes information on the cost of each repair.
