1. Please advise how to claim for pothole damage, my vehicle recently suffered a burst tyre due to a pothole in my local area for which a new tyre had to purchased
Claims must be sent in writing to the Highways Maintenance team. This can be either by letter or by e-mail and the claim must state the following:-
• What the claim is, attaching evidence to support it, such as receipts or quotations
• Details of the alleged defect and the alleged damage, together with, if possible, any supporting photographs
• Date and time of the alleged incident
• The exact location details, including a location map
• The reason(s) why the claimant holds the Council responsible for their loss
• The claimant’s name, postal address and phone number
Claims need to be sent to highway.claims@wokingham.gov.uk or to Highways Maintenance, Wokingham Borough Council, Shute End, Wokingham, Berkshire, RG40 1BN.
