1. Do you have your own local authority plant nursery? Does it have a peat-free policy?
The Cleaner & Greener and Countryside Services does not have any form of plant nursery therefore we do not have a policy for it

2. Do you have a peat-free policy for sourcing plants and growing media (compost) for parks?
The Cleaner & Greener Service do not source plants for planting on their areas of management. The councils Grounds Maintenance Contractor obtain plants from stockists that have a peat-free policy. They have transitioned to using peat-free compost and aim to reduce their overall peat consumption year on year. Specifically, they state that all compost and growing media purchased from their suppliers is now peat-free and they only sell peat-free compost. The stockist also note that they are continuing to grow larger quantities of plants in peat-free compost.
The Countryside Service do not source plants for planting on their reserves .

3. What percentage of peat-free plants do you estimate you currently use?
The Services currently use Zero plants on its sites but would ensure they were Peat free if we did.
