In relation to the land covered by planning application number 211841, namely the land north and south of Cutbush Lane, Shinfield, where Shinfield Studios is being constructed, and in relation to the planning application itself, please provide all information you have relating to all historical, current or proposed or considered tree preservation orders (TPO) in relation to the trees on the same land, including but not limited to:
1. Copies of any requests, including requests from the local planning authority, councillors or the public, for TPOs on any of the trees;
These are kept private as they contain sensitive information relating to the identity of those requesting TPOs.
2. Copies of all communications relating to the removal of any historic TPOs;
Communication relating to the removal of any TPOs would be in the form of an application, there is no pre-app process for tree works applications. The legislation does not require us to process or manipulate information that is publicly available. 3. Copies of all communications in relation to determining whether to make any TPOs to protect the trees during the planning application process;
Communications in relation to determine whether to make any TPOs are verbal and take place at the TPO prioritisation and review meeting
4. Details of any TPO review meetings where WBC's Tree and Landscape team considered making TPOs in connection with the trees, including any minutes taken at the same meetings;
Not applicable as no TPO requests were received relating to the planning application 211841’
5. Details of any site visits made by WBC for the purposes of assessing whether TPOs may be justified to protect the trees during the planning application process;
A Senior Landscape Officer did undertake a site visit to review the planning application and how it would impact the surrounding landscape and trees, however this was not undertaken to assess the trees with a view to including them within a TPO.
6. Details of any site visits made by WBC for the purposes of assessing whether TPOs may be justified to protect the trees following the granting of planning permission;
Not applicable as no TPO requests were received relating to the planning application 211841’
7. Copies of any impact assessment reports prepared by WBC in relation to the trees.
Whilst council’s tree officers are always mindful of the environmental impacts of their decisions on the environment, they are not required to undertake any impact assessments in relation to the making of TPOs.
