1. Please provide a breakdown of how the additional income generated from the increase in planning application fees introduced on 6 December 2023 has been allocated or spent. Where possible, please specify the services or functions supported and the amount allocated to each.
Additional income from planning fees will result in a saving for the Council as whole by lowering the funding gap between the level of revenue the Planning service earns from fee income and the amount that the service costs to fund in total. Unfortunately it isn’t possible to say what the equivalent saving in the general council fund will ultimately be spent on although delivery of Adult and Childrens Services continue to be a corporate priority.
