I am writing to request information on the decision on the change of route in the phase 2 of the Greenways project.

In plans from 2019 in the initial consultation, the route passes through Woosehill - travelling from East to West, prior to crossing over Heron Road, the route passes parallel to Jupiter Way but along the southern edge of a green area (approximate location Latitude: 51.4107, Longitude: -0.8567), following an existing path. There is currently a line of trees between the houses of Jupiter Way and the proposed route.

The same route, following the existing path on the southern edge is also found in council documents from 2020 and more clearly in the following official documents

In the consultation currently open this section of the path has now shifted to be along the northern boundary of this space i.e. the other side of the trees and now very close to the houses on Jupiter Way (approximate location Latitude: 51.4112, Longitude: -0.8567).

I cannot find any evidence regarding why the decision has been made to move this section of the route from the originally proposed southern edge, closely following the existing path, to now being on the northern edge, hence creating an entirely new path.

1. I am requesting any relevant documents that record the discussion, analysis and decision making that led to changing this section of the route.

Review of request: The officer involved with this has stated that an options report was not developed for this change. It appears that there were only verbal discussions about the route at Joel Park, and the officer cannot find any written minutes or notes regarding this change. We regret therefore that we do not hold any information which would answer the request.
