There was recently a consultation carried out regarding potentially increasing car parking fees in Wokingham Borough Council car parks. I received notification that the decision had been made to increase them but no details of the consultation results.

1. What was the result in numbers?

There has been no formal public consultation carried out with regard to changes in car parking charges. A recent proposal by the Council’s current Executive to make changes to parking charges/times was called-in by the Council’s Overview & Scrutiny Committee for discussion and as a result a decision agreed for the proposal to progress to statutory Order making stage. During that stage, a 21-day period for open objection will be available for those in support/against the proposal to comment.
