Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, please could you kindly provide your fee rates you pay for older people’s care home placements (not working-age adults) for the most recent three years (2023/24, 2024/25, 2025/26).

1. I’d be grateful if you can provide the various fees for the following:
• Residential (older people)
• Residential dementia (older people)
• Nursing (older people)
• Nursing dementia (older people)
There are no set costs for residential and nursing placements; they are dependent on care act eligibility and market capacity at the point of commissioning. Any averages would be inclusive of all fees regardless of funding source (i.e. third-party top-ups) and would not be indicative of what the cost is to the Local Authority. Deferred payments in particular will massively affect the average rate as these are typically far higher than what the Local Authority would pay
