With regards to this request , we generally have a 4-phase approach to safety on the parks.
1. We have Duty rangers who patrol the park on a daily basis As part of this process , they will be emptying bins , picking up litter, reactive works that they come across or reporting back to service officers to deal with larger tasks .They will be checking for encroachment of vegetation , footpath surfacing/ erosion and obvious hazards on main footpaths . (attached is a single day of our Duty Ranger sheet)
2. We have a Risk assessment covering the site, highlighting specific hazards / issues and measures taken to mitigate against them. (risk assessment for Dinton Pastures attached)
3. The Countryside Service has a monthly work programme or mowing/ cutting back, rectifying reported issues and pro-active works for potential problem areas.
4. We carry out annual inspections that specifically highlight Boundaries, Trees, and Footpaths. (data removed for Dinton pastures annual inspection for the last 7 years attached)
