With regards to the recently announced cost savings please advise:

1. Average current cost of emptying one litter bin in the borough pre reduction and the expected cost post implementation
Cost without reduction:
Annual cost to empty 1 litter bin twice weekly: £405
Annual cost to empty 1 litter bin weekly: £118

There will be a public consultation on this matter, expected August 2023. Further information will be available following this.

2. Total number of Litter bins Wokingham Borough Council pay to get emptied split by Parish/Town Council
Zero. There is no agreement in place with Parish/ Town Councils for Wokingham Borough owned litter bins to be emptied/split by Parish/Town councils. Some parish/Town councils install and maintain their own litter bins within their parishes.

3. Of these how many will now be emptied less frequently (again by Parish/Town Council)
Zero.

4. Will the new cleaning regime for bottle banks apply to every location in the borough? If not please provide information as for 2 & 3 above
