I am writing to request the following recorded information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 relating to your organisation's IT asset management, procurement and IT asset disposal (ITAD) arrangements.
1. IT Asset Inventory
• How many IT Assets do you currently have in service? Within categories of: PC's, laptops, tablets, mobile phones & server or networking equipment.
2. Device Refresh
• What is your standard hardware refresh cycle for these IT assets?
• What is the date (or expected date) of your next planned hardware refresh programme, if recorded?
• How many devices are scheduled for replacement during the next 12 months, if recorded?
3. IT Asset Disposal (ITAD)
• Who is your current IT Asset Disposal (ITAD) supplier?
• When was the current ITAD contract awarded?
• When does the current ITAD contract expire?
• What extension options are available under the current contract?
• Was the contract awarded through a procurement framework? If so, which framework was used?
4. Hardware Procurement
• Are your end-user devices owned, leased, or supplied under a Device as a Service (DaaS) arrangement?
5. Data Destruction
• What data sanitisation standard do you use for retired IT assets (for example, NIST SP 800-88), where recorded?
• Are encrypted drives securely erased or physically destroyed in accordance with your organisation's policy?
6. Sustainability
• Do you have a policy to maximise the reuse of IT equipment before recycling?
• If recorded, how many (or what proportion of) retired devices are:
• Reused internally
• Refurbished for reuse
• Recycled
• Destroyed
7. Financial Recovery
• Does your current ITAD provider offer revenue sharing or rebates for reusable equipment?
