We are undertaking a nationwide review of official Infant Safe Sleep or SUDI prevention policies at both the district council and county level. This would constitute the official guidance relating to safe baby sleeping that health and/or social care practitioners are required to follow when working with families.

1. It may be that your Wokingham Council has not yet implemented an official policy yet. If so, please let me know. If you already have such a policy in place, I would be very grateful if you could share that policy with us.
Wokingham has no current internal guidelines or Safe Sleep, or SUDI prevent policies, we follow and reinforce the advice provided by health professionals. We will be working with the Berkshire West Safeguarding Partnership to see whether there these safeguarding issues could/should be included in the BWSCP manual practice guidance section.
