This request relates to the authority's Housing Waiting List

1. How many households were removed from the Housing Waiting List in 2021 (or the last full calendar year where figures are available)?
Prior to our new Allocation Policy introduced in April 2022 we did not routinely remove households from our Housing Register, applications were deferred but not removed. If a customer asked to have their application removed, we would do this but we did not record numbers for this.

2. Please provide a list of the reasons given for the removal from the list?
As above.

3. How many households were removed from the list because of death?
We do receive Death Notifications and check against our housing register but we do not keep a number of how many applications were removed for this reason.

4. How many households have been on the list for:
a) between five years and ten years: 333
b) ten years or more: 83

5. With regards to households that have been on the list the longest, how long have they been on the list?
Longest applicant has been on register since May 1984 – this applicant has no housing need at present and is in a low band.
