Countryside Service (Simon Bartlam) authorised the temporary closure of the cattle grid access point while cattle are grazing the meadow.

4. Please would you advise whether the Council considered compliance with the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 when closing access to wheelchair users.
Yes the Disability Discrimination Act was considered, and it was felt that the large kissing gate access point alongside the cattle grid was suitable for wheelchair users while cyclists can also dismount and walk through the kissing gate.
