I am requesting the following information relating to electric vehicle (EV) charging bays in your local authority area.

1. Does your authority currently enforce any EV charging bays (e.g. through a Traffic Regulation Order or other legal mechanism)?
Yes.

2. If yes, please provide:
a) The number of Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) issued for EV bay misuse (i.e. parked without actively charging), broken down by calendar year (2020–2025 to date).

b) The total value of fines issued for EV bay misuse, broken down by year.
Based on a fine value of £70.00 as a standard (Higher) charge contravention for contravention codes 14 and 71, less any warning notices which are included in the above figures.
