I am writing under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to request information regarding police presence during the removal of children under Emergency Protection Orders. I would like to receive the data I am requesting from the years 2023, 2024 and from 1st January 2025- 30th June 2025. Specifically I would like to request the following:

1.The total number of occasions where, as a result of an Emergency Protection Order (EPO) under the Children Act 1989, children were removed from parental care by the local authority.
2023: 4
2024: 3
2025: 1

2. The total number of occasions where the Family Court authorised the attendance of police at these removals.
We do not report on this. The ‘directions’ of court around police attendance are not recorded in a reportable way.

3. Where recorded, the total number of police officers who attended at these removals.
