I am submitting a formal Freedom of Information request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 regarding your council’s procurement activities and supplier engagement opportunities.
1. Upcoming Procurement Activities
• Schedule of major procurements planned for the next 18 months
• Estimated contract values and procurement timelines
• Service categories to be procured
We publish details of contracts over £2m that we intend to let in the next 18 months. This requirement is from the 1st April every year, and the council has 56 days from the 1st April to publish these details.
These notices give you an initial view of our procurement intentions over the coming 18 months. It does not remove requirements to follow processes set out in the Procurement Act 2023, when the time comes to initiate the procurement exercise. This includes the publication of notices such as a preliminary market engagement notice or tender notice. All notices will be advertised on the Find a Tender service website. We would encourage you to engage with the council at this point.
Please note that suppliers need to register on the central platform. We have a dedicated page on our website https://www.wokingham.gov.uk/business-and-licensing/business-and-growth/procurement-regulations - Find a Tender https://www.find-tender.service.gov.uk/Search that provides you with further information
2. Contract Renewal Schedule
• List of significant contracts (over £50,000 annual value) due for renewal in the next 24 months: Contracts Register includes supplier info, values and expiry Dates
• Contract expiry dates and review periods
• Current contract holders where this information is publicly available
The information you have requested is publicly accessible. To assist you, we have provided a link to the Contracts Register. https://procontract.due-north.com/ContractsRegister/Index?resetFilter=True&applyFilter=True&p=679bb2ba-7898-4a4c-b4e3-c8eb6a07a3dc&v=1
