1. If your Council has a Conservation and Design team of any description, that is consulted on planning applications involving constraints such as listed buildings and conservation areas, and what this team is called.
We don't have a team but the Council do employ a Building Conservation Specialist who deals with heritage and listed building based planning enquiries and consultations.

2. If ‘yes’, what training or qualifications, if any, are prerequisites for an officer working in this team.
WBC Built Heritage post holders will need to have experience of the planning process, experience dealing with the implications of development and other proposals for change on listed buildings and knowledge of the case law on this subject.
As a minimum, a Diploma in Historic Conservation or equivalent is required and experience providing other Local Authorities with similar work would be advantageous.

3. If it is disclosable, if I could please have an email address for this team, as I would like to send a short survey related to my dissertation some time next summer for any officers who might be interested in completing it.
