1. Please provide an address list of properties with planning consent of Use Class C4 – Small HMOs (Houses in Multiple Occupation).
Please include in this list:
• The properties UPRN (Unique Property Reference Number)
• The date of the Planning Permission
• The Planning Permission Reference
The change of use of a dwelling to a small HMO (up to 6 people) does not require planning permission from the Council. The Planning Department has no record of which properties/addresses are in use as small HMOs. Small HMOs ie less than 7 people don’t require planning consent (they are permitted development).
HMO licences are only for 5+ occupiers and there is a list on the WBC website.
