Please provide me with the following information about Hong Kong citizens who are BNO Visa holders and school places:
1. How many applications for a primary school place have been received by the local authority, where the applicant is a British National (Overseas) visa holder:
a) For the 2020/21 academic year (please indicate how many were successful)
Applications for a place at a primary school in 2020/21 from those from Hong Kong was 162 with 141 allocated.
b) For the 2021/22 academic year (please indicate how many were successful)
Applications for a place at a primary school for 2021/22 as of today’s date from Hong Kong is 92 with 85 allocated.
2. How many applications for a secondary school place have been received by the local authority, where the applicant is a British National (Overseas) visa holder:
a) For the 2020/21 academic year (please indicate how many were successful)
Applications for a place at a secondary school in 2020/21 from those from Hong Kong was 98 with 64 allocated.
b) For the 2021/22 academic year (please indicate how many were successful)
Applications for a place at secondary school in 2021/22 as of today’s date from Hong Kong is 35 with 18 allocated.
For those who were not allocated this is due to insufficient evidence being provided with their application (ie no proof of move to the Borough), change in family circumstances or preferences expressed being fully allocated and home address being outside of the Borough.
