I am requesting the following information regarding Approved Mental Health Professionals (AMHPs) employed or commissioned by the Local Authority regarding Pay, Enhancements, and Agency AMHP Expenditure.

1. For the last full financial year (or the most recent period available), please provide:
a) The annual AMHP salary rate paid to individual AMHPs by the council - the actual amount not the grade: There are two AMHP allowances to assist with recruitment and retention of this skilled group of staff, subject to the AMHP maintaining their AMHP approval requirements and their participation on the AMHP rota at least twice a month:
• New AMHPs - £5355 (for first 5 years of approval)
• New AMHPs will also receive 2 increments when they are approved, (within the SW/OT band NRSG2 if this is available depending on their SCP).
• Experienced AMHPS in a senior SW or OT position NRSG3 and SW/OT grade NRSG2 AMHPs on their second approval (i.e. after 5 years) allowance of £7000.
• AMHP allowance is available to staff on the AMHP rota up to head of service level.
Also, in terms of pay, our AMHPs are paid according to their level of experience/role in team
b) Any additional AMHP specific allowances or payments (e.g., market supplement, retainer, standby, call): Please see above, we have AMHP allowances payable
c) The percentage enhancements applied for out of hours AMHP work (evenings, nights, Saturdays, Sundays, and Bank Holidays): N/A - Our out of hours cover is provided by Bracknell Forest’s Emergency Duty Service
d) The number of AMHPs currently approved and practising within the council: 9

2. For the period from 01.04.25 to the near as possible present date please provide:
a) Total expenditure on agency AMHPs.
b) The hourly or daily rates paid to agency AMHPs.
WBC have not had any agency Approved Mental Health Professionals in this period.
