I would like to request the following information regarding adult neurological and mental health services.

For the avoidance of doubt, when referring to the term 'neurological', please include; brain injury (including acquired brain injury and traumatic brain injury) spinal injury, neuro-disabilities (including but not limited to Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease, Huntington's disease, cerebral palsy and epilepsy), stroke, neurobehavioural rehabilitation and cognitive rehabilitation. This list is meant as a guide and is by no means exhaustive.

For the avoidance of doubt, when referring to the term 'mental ill-health', please include; anxiety, depression, personality disorder, severe affective disorders, schizophrenia, and mental ill-health that causes challenging behaviour, all of which are to such a degree that the person experiences significant impairment and as such is unable to care for themselves independently. This list is meant as a guide and is by no means exhaustive.

For questions 1, 2, 4 and 5, please provide data for the previous financial years 2018/19, 2019/20, 2020/21 and budgeted figures for the current financial year 2021/22.

1. Please provide the total number of adults with a primary diagnosis of mental health funded during the financial year 2018/19, 2019/20, 2020/21 and 2021/22 (budgeted) in the following settings:
a) Inpatient mental health hospital beds
b) Nursing care homes
c) Residential care homes (without nursing)

We are unable to answer Questions 4 to 6 as Wokingham Borough Council collect information under the primary needs of OP, PD and LD, so we do have a break down for neurological conditions and to gather this information we would have to look through 1800 customer records which would take in excess of 18 hours so are refusing under Section 12 of the Act.
