1. Please could I request how many places are available at Addington School for children under 8 (separated by age or ability range if possible) from September 2021? I understand it's a dynamic situation (ie children with more complex needs might require smaller classes) but I'm trying to ascertain if all KS1 classes are full or not from September.

In September 2021 there will be 6 classes for under 8s at Addington. This is called the Early Years Department. These classes cater for 6-8 pupils each. Currently we have 49 pupils destined to be on roll for this department in September. These pupils have a range of learning difficulties from profound and multiple learning difficulties to severe learning difficulties and are from N1 to Year 3.
From September, Addington school can cater for 255 pupils, up from 240 currently. Our admission total for September 21 currently stands at 256.

Our Admission policy states:
5. Allocation of places
5.1 Admission number
The school is currently funded for 240 places and in September 2021 will be funded for 255 places. There is no set number of children admitted each year, as the school will admit new pupils based on numbers leaving making space and places in key stage. Addington will also take account of the needs of the pupils as although all pupils have a learning difficulty, there is range from moderate to profound learning difficulty. The Head teacher will identify spaces in each Key Stage taking into account classes with learners with Severe Learning Difficulties, Moderate Learning Difficulties, and Sensory & Complex needs. This means a key stage may be full for a certain type of learner.
