The minutes of the Council meeting held on 22 July 2021 included the following statement by the Executive Member for Environment and Leisure in Item 22.3:

"New facilities that have recently had Executive approval and plans are now in place are:
. New Boxing Fitness Hub - £630k
. Laurel Park 3G pitch - £300k plus £500k from the Football Foundation."

The minutes of the Executive meeting held on 28 July 2022 include the following record in Item 22:

"Councillor Ian Shenton explained that problems had been identified with proposals for a 3G pitch at Laurel Park, however there remained a need for additional football facilities in the Borough, both for training and for weekend fixtures. An analysis had been carried out which had identified the Maiden Erlegh site as the most suitable site."

1. I request the information held by the council on each one of the problems that was identified with the proposals for a 3G pitch at Laurel Park and why each item was a problem.

At the July 22 executive a full list of pros and cons were provided for all sites included that of the previous identified site Laurel Park, the report can be accessed online at; https://wokingham.moderngov.co.uk/documents/s58908/Implementing%20the%20Leisure%20Strategy.pdf
