Council tax bands
Every property is given a council tax band. Your council tax band indicates how much you will need to pay. You can view band charges below:

Finding out more about your Council Tax band
The Valuation Office Agency (VOA) maintains the Council Tax Valuation List. This includes placing new properties within a Council Tax band and changing bands for properties when necessary.

Challenge your Council tax band
If you think your band is wrong, you can submit a challenge to the Valuation Office Agency who are responsible for setting the banding valuation on all properties in England. Visit the government's website and type in your postcode to find your tax band.
