1. I would like to request a Freedom of Information regarding the tender process and decision for the installation of fibre broadband during the regeneration of Market Place, Wokingham.
The Council let a contract to build Market Place. It didn't let a contract for broadband but services may have been diverted as a consequence of works. Utility operators would have been given opportunity to implement services if required through the street works process. We consulted utility companies at the time as they then wouldn’t be allowed to dig up the area. Clarification has been sought, as we aren't entirely sure what it is that is being sought.
