This is an information request regarding Sickness Absence in councils. Please include the following information for 2021/22, 2022/23, 2023/24:

1. Total number of days lost due to sick leave within the council
• 2021/22: 01/04/2021 to 31/03/2022: 7004.60 FTE Days Absent - 4.45 Average FTE per Employee
• 2022/23: 01/04/2022 to 31/03/2023: 8372.58 FTE Days Absent - 5.62 Average FTE per Employee
• 2023/24: 01/04/2023 to 31/03/2024: 8613.78 FTE Days Absent - 6.15 Average FTE per Employee

2. Total number of days lost to Mental Health issues within the council
• 2021/22: 01/04/2021 to 31/03/2022: 1758 days
• 2022/23: 01/04/2022 to 31/03/2023: 1865 days
• 2023/24: 01/04/2023 to 31/03/2024: 1406 days

3. Total number of council staff who required sickness absence on mental health grounds
• 2021/22: 01/04/2021 to 31/03/2022: 55
• 2022/23: 01/04/2022 to 31/03/2023: 52
• 2023/24: 01/04/2023 to 31/03/2024: 68

By Mental Health issues, we mean any staff member who required sickness absence due to anxiety, stress, depression, or any other mental health-related reason.
