Under the Freedom of Information Act, I would like to request the following information please:
1. The Council’s spend on agency (i.e. non-permanent) staff (both on-framework and off-framework);
• By role type: Information not held in this manner
• With which provider/s and how much the Council spends: Wokingham Borough Council has a contract in place with Matrix for the provision of temporary agency workers. The contract operates on a Neutral Vend model with agencies signing to the Matrix contract to become a supplier.
23-24 to date (June 2023), Wokingham Borough Council has spent £1,545,115.22.
• When the current contract ends with your staffing provider/s: The current contract with Matrix will end on 31st January 2024. From 01 April 2023, the council implemented a mandate to the corporate contract and off-contract spend is actively being eliminated.
