I am writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to request information regarding foster carers and children in care within your local authority. Specifically, I would like to request the following data for the period of 2023-2026:
1. The total number of approved foster carers, broken down by ethnicity.
2. The total number of children in care, broken down by ethnicity.
3. The number of Black and Global Majority children placed with foster carers of a different ethnicity (transracial placements).
4. The number of kinship carers and special guardians (SGOs) from Global Majority backgrounds currently supported by the authority.
If it is not possible to provide the information for the full period, please provide the data for the most recent financial year.
