1. How many people are currently waiting for a band 3 medical b property allocation.
76

2. How many people from band 3 medical b have been housed in the last 3 years
25

3. Is there and advised wait time to be housed under this band?
No There are several reasons for this:
• Exceptional circumstances - Our Allocations Policy allows for properties to be allocated outside the usual criteria in urgent operational, legal, or financial situations. These decisions are made by our Exceptional Circumstances Panel.
• Applicants may be bypassed -An applicant who appears to be next in line may not be nominated for reasons such as:
- Rent arrears or anti social behaviour
- A change in circumstances requiring further evidence or investigation
- Specific requirements set by the landlord, such as sensitive lets or income thresholds for affordable rent properties
• Properties allocated to specific schemes - Some properties are reserved for particular schemes, each with their own eligibility criteria, including:
- Keyworker housing
- Sheltered housing
- Extra Care
- Supported Living
• Eligibility may depend on factors such as age, care needs, or approval by a formal panel.
For these reasons, being next on the list does not guarantee that you will receive the next available property.
