I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 regarding highway maintenance records. Please provide the following information in relation to Waterloo Road, Wokingham (specifically the area near sailor.shovels.keep (What3Words location)):

1. Records of all reported defects (including potholes) for the 12 months prior to 22/01/2026, including:
o Dates reported
o Nature of the defect
o Location details
o Dates and details of any repairs carried out
Details of road defects reported for Waterloo Road, Wokingham Without, between 22/01/2025 and 22/01/2026, are provided in the Excel report attached to this response. o Inspection dates
o Inspection findings (including whether any defects were identified)
o Inspector notes
Details of highway inspections carried out for Waterloo Road, Wokingham Without, between 22/01/2025 and 22/01/2026, are provided in the Excel report attached to this response. Waterloo Road is subject to a driven inspection every 3 months and a walked inspection every 6 months. The most recent inspection of Waterloo Road was carried out on 22/12/2025.

3. Details of the council’s highway inspection policy applicable at the time, including:
o Frequency of inspections for this class of road
o Intervention criteria (e.g. minimum pothole depth requiring repair)

Wokingham Borough does not possess risk assessments for individual streets. We have searched internal communications potentially related to Waterloo Road. Unfortunately, we have identified 17659 emails that are potentially relevant to the enquiry. The time likely to be required to review the communications is estimated to be 883 hours, which would substantially exceed the time allocated for a Freedom of Information response. (Section 12)
