1. How many children in the last financial year (24/25) was provided a section 19 support by the local authority? (not including any S19 support put in place by the school)

Foundry College will provide figures of young people admitted to their provision due to physical illness.

2. What reason under the law was the children above given one in the following category?

3. How many days after of the above children's non attendance was S19 support put in place by the local authority?
M/V – not able to quantify due to school initially supporting the young people on their roll. Referral to Multi Agency Inclusion Clinic is the identified route to discuss s19 criteria. Once s19 agreed at MAIC the admission to Foundry College will be based on several factors – parents availability for a meeting, sourcing the identified provision (either on site or via tutors) – but it will usually be within 5 school days.

4. How many of the above S19 support was a direct result of the social ombudsman?
Nil

5. Has this council ever refused to provide a Section 19 for the reason its the school's responsibility to provide S19 or if the child is enrolled at a school if so how many times has been reason been used?
The LA provide schools with advice and guidance dependent on individual circumstances presented at MAIC.
