1. Since the 1st of January 2015, how many cases has the council identified in which a child who was electively home educated was referred to Prevent?
Prevent referrals are made directly to Counter Terrorism Police (CTP) using the National Prevent Referral Form. Note that the referrals the council make and those the council are notified of (before a PREVENT referral is made) do not capture whether the child is home educated in a reportable way. Request for information should be made directly to CTP.

2. In how many of those cases was elective home education identified as a contributing factor in the referral?
As per above, we do not have this data to identify if this was a factor.

3. Does the council hold any evidence that elective home education has been identified as a factor contributing to radicalisation in any Prevent referral? If so, please provide a brief description of the case (with any personal data redacted).
No Prevent referrals have been made directly by the Education Welfare Service (where elective home education sits). The Council does not hold any evidence that elective home education has been identified as a factor contributing to radicalisation.
