School absence penalty notices

Please provide the following information relating to penalty notices issued for unauthorised school absences within your local authority area:
1. The total number of penalty notices issued for unauthorised school absences during the Autumn 2024 term and Spring 2025 term.
PNs issued for unauthorised absence during Autumn 2024 term: 457
PNs issued for unauthorised absence during Spring 2025 term: 284
2. The total monetary value (£) of those penalty notices issued during each of the above terms.
PNs are charged at a fixed rate of £80 if paid within 21-days, increasing to £160 if paid between day 22 and 28. A second PN within a 3-year period is charged at a fixed rate of £160.
£36,720 was due in relation to the PNs issued for unauthorised absence during Autumn 2024 term (if paid at the lowest rate available). Only two of the 457 PNs issued for this period were at the higher rate.
£22,800 was due in relation to the PNs issued for unauthorised absence during Spring 2025 term (if paid at the lowest rate available). Only one of the 284 PNs issued for this period were at the higher rate.
3. If available, the total amount (£) collected from those penalty notices during the same periods.
£36,360 was collected in relation to the PNs issued for unauthorised absence during Autumn 2024 term.
£22,480 was collected in relation to the PNs issued for unauthorised absence during Spring 2025 term.
