I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, please provide the following statistical information.
1. For the 2024/25 financial year, please provide the total number of children and young people aged 10 to 18 who were recorded as Children in Need during the financial year. Please break this information down by age and gender. If age is recorded in bands rather than single years, please provide the data using the age bands held.
2. For the 2024/25 financial year, please also provide the number of children and young people aged 10 to 18 who became looked after by the local authority during the financial year, where the child or young person had previously been recorded as a Child in Need within the previous 12 months. Please break this information down by age at entry to care and gender.
If any of the above information is not held in a format that allows it to be extracted without manual review of individual case files, please confirm this.
