1. What was the average void period for council-owned residential properties in your council area in the last 12 months? If that period is not available, please instead provide the most recent 12 months of data
For council owned properties we hold two figures for void turnaround time, with exceptions, and without exceptions. Data for the previous 12 months (Jan 2025 – December 2025) are as follows:
With Exceptions: 65
Without Exceptions: 29
2. Please provide both mean, median and maximum void periods for Question1
The mean figures are as above
The median figure is for properties with exceptions only: 48
The maximum figure is for properties with exceptions only: 388
3. How many properties became void during this period (Q1) but were never re-let?
There are currently 23 unlet properties with a void date that fall within the range of 1/1/25 – 31/12/25, all in the process of void works prior to re-letting
4. What was the number of properties that were already void at the start of this period and remained un-let throughout the period? (Q1)
There is 1 property that was void prior to 1/1/25 that remains unlet.
