FOLLOW ON REQUEST FROM WBCIR:20918
1. Please would you let me know the make and model number of the equipment located above the pedestrian push button panel at the junction of London Road and Binfield Road, Wokingham. Just to clarify - this is not the equipment mounted on the traffic light pole, but the equipment on a pole on which the pedestrian push button panel is located, adjacent to the pavement. is a Siemens Sapphire JTM unit, used for Journey Time monitoring. I realise there are 2 units mounted on that pole - please would you let me know the make and model number of the second unit.
This a Siemens Heimdall On-Crossing Detector (Radar) used to monitor crossing pedestrians and extend the red time to ensure there is a sufficient period of time to cross. They don't have a model number.
