1. Specifically, please provide copies of the minutes of any meetings, including, but not limited to, “officer business of public health” meetings, where (i) cancellation of the circuits programme and/or (ii) re-deployment of the funds freed up thereby, were discussed.
There are a range of programmes on offer, including circuits and physical activity programmes, and residents affected by changes are being supported to access the alternative classes. The cessation of duplicated services is part of the alignment of the public health grant with its mandated roles and responsibilities, and is linked to redundancies and a formal HR process. As such we cannot reasonably share personnel information.
The redeployment of the funds is still under discussion as part of the budget discussions and will strengthen the mandated public health offer in Wokingham. This has not been discussed at Full Council or public health sub committee.
